Systems Assurance Advisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic advisor to join our Capability and Assurance team in the Operations Group at WorkSafe.
WorkSafe's role as New Zealand's health and safety regulator comes with a wide range of obligations. The purpose of this role is to help to ensure that we fulfil our own responsibilities while we regulate others.
As the Systems Assurance Advisor, you'll be part of liaising with a broad range of teams across WorkSafe to support them to meet their responsibilities. You will maintain the systems to manage legal obligations. You'll help to provide guidance for teams about how to manage risks.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven judgement and analytical skills
- Microsoft O365 skills
- Effective communication and relationship management skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of teams
- To be familiar with working with legislation.
About our team
The Capability and Assurance team is key part of our national planning and support function called Here Matatū (weaving everything together).
Here Matatū was initially focused on inspector capability and co-ordination of national initiatives, but it's evolving, as intended, to a more diverse ‘all of Operations and Health and Technical Services' role. Here Matatū has created enormous value in a short space of time. The approach taken by the Here Matatū team has highlighted the impact a team with clear focus, strong leadership, and motivated people that are clearly working to our values, can have on the teams that it touches in it's mahi.
