We are looking for a talented reporting professional to join as our Senior Reporting and Business Analyst. This is a key role for organisational / people reporting / insights for the team and across WorkSafe New Zealand | Mahi Haumaru.
In this senior role you will lead our people data reporting and insights creation, which is used by internal and external stakeholders. With your ability to influence and coach, you will also help upskill the organisation to better utilise people data.
Your business analysis approach will address organisation-wide business needs and effect improvements including helping ensure HR practices are consistent, effective, and efficient to better support the needs of the organisation and ensure a positive customer experience.
This multi-faceted role also manages our organisation structure and as well as administers our remuneration framework.
Ideally you will have:
- Advanced SQL skills and experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in HR data reporting, including to executive leadership and board level reports, providing insights on FTEs, salaries, diversity reporting, etc.
- History working with OIA requests and reporting behind this
- Working knowledge of Employment Legislation (Privacy Act, Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act).
Join our small, close-knit team who support each other and have fun together. Although at times working in different locations, they love interacting with each other including contributing to the afternoon quiz! We are looking for not just a skilled Analyst but someone who is up for this. We also work flexibly – work from any WorkSafe location in NZ, and a mix of in the office/WFH (usually at least 1 day in the office per week).

Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $102,460 to $136,613, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $108,152 to $119,536. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
