About your team - Ko te tīma

The Finance business unit is responsible for providing assurance and robust financial management, systems, processes and advice in line with our legal obligations and Crown Entity expectations. The Business Support function is led out of the Finance business unit, providing financial and general administrative services. Our payroll and HR systems will be overseen by the Financial Accounting team, providing greater structure and oversight of our payroll processes and assurance of data integrity and consistency across our finance and people systems.

About the role - Ō te tūranga

This role provides expert guidance, analysis, and process support to maintain data consistency and integrity across corporate systems. It ensures that people leaders and the Corporate team have access to accurate, timely information. As the primary administrator of the HR system(s) and backup administrator for the FMIS, the role also collaborates with external vendors to ensure systems and reporting align with the organisation's needs.

You'll be the go-to expert for systems knowledge, responsible for providing high-quality analysis and technical support, while ensuring the integrity, cohesion, and functionality of our core HR and financial systems.

What You'll Do - Ko tōu ake mahi

  • Lead the administration of HR systems, support position management systems, and act as backup administrator for the FMIS.
  • Provide accurate and timely information that meets the needs of the business.
  • Ensure Finance, Payroll and HR system information is aligned, and undertake regular audits and assessments to provide assurance on data integrity.
  • Partner with the Financial Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to improve payroll processes, support FMIS payroll integration, and address information requests with accurate, timely responses.
  • Lead system integrations and enhancements by conducting gap analyses, designing improvements, overseeing testing, and identifying risks with recommended mitigation strategies.

 

What You'll Bring - Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Experience as a Systems Administrator in either HR systems or FMIS, strong problem-solving skills, and the confidence to work independently
  • Analytical ability, a sharp eye for detail, and the capability to produce reliable, timely insights using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and ready to make an impact by connecting systems with people and outcomes.

Salary range - Awhe utu

As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $92,849 to $122,424 and we anticipate appointing up to the salary midpoint.  Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
