About your team / Ko te tīma
The Performance Reporting team plays a critical role in helping WorkSafe understand, monitor and communicate organisational performance. Working closely with leaders and teams across the organisation, the team delivers high-quality reporting, insights and accountability information that supports informed decision-making and demonstrates WorkSafe's impact for Aotearoa.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
This is an opportunity to play a key role in how WorkSafe measures, reports on and communicates its performance. As a Senior Business Advisor, Performance Reporting, you'll lead important reporting and accountability processes, turning complex information into meaningful insights that help shape organisational priorities, support public accountability and enable better outcomes for New Zealanders.
While Wellington is our preferred location, we welcome applications from candidates based in any WorkSafe office location across New Zealand.
What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi
- Lead organisation-wide performance reporting for senior leaders and governance groups
- Develop clear performance narratives highlighting progress, risks and opportunities
- Analyse performance information and provide actionable insights
- Coordinate input from teams across WorkSafe to deliver integrated reporting
- Contribute to key accountability documents, including annual reporting
- Support Select Committee processes and manage organisational responses
What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Experience delivering high-quality organisational performance reporting and insights
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful stories
- Confidence engaging with senior leaders and presenting complex information clearly
- Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting accountability, governance, or statutory reporting processes
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework, the expected appointment base salary is $112,754-$124,480 (KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contributions are additional). From 1 April 2026 our KiwiSaver employer contribution increased to 3.5%.
