About your team / Ko te tīma
The Monitoring and Evaluation team is part of the Insights and Evaluation unit, which delivers data-driven insights to guide WorkSafe's strategies and interventions. We focus on evaluating outcomes and improving how we work, ensuring our efforts make the greatest impact as a regulator.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
As the Advisor, Monitoring and Evaluation, you'll support the team in delivering high-quality, timely analysis and reporting. Your work will help ensure insights are accurate and actionable, strengthening WorkSafe's ability to measure outcomes and improve regulatory effectiveness.
What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi
- Turn insights into action by helping document and report findings that shape WorkSafe's interventions.
- Collaborate across teams to keep information flowing and support smarter analysis and evaluation.
- Provide clear, effective reporting and documentation that makes complex data easy to understand.
- Assist with data collection and analysis to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
- Offer coordination and support to performance reporting leaders to keep projects on track.
- Help embed kaupapa Māori frameworks into evaluation practices, ensuring culturally grounded approaches.
What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Experience supporting research and evaluation processes, with a knack for turning data into insights.
- Skills in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound judgment and calm decision-making under pressure.
- Proven track record in delivering projects and reports on time and within budget.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience improving systems and processes to make work smarter and more efficient.

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $81,587 to $106,892, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $81,587 to $90,021. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
