About your team / Ko te tīma
You'll be joining our Operations Group, home to our frontline inspectors, authorisations and advisory, and regulatory services teams (including general counsel). The team work directly with businesses, communities, and workers across Aotearoa. We regulate in complex, real‑world environments, with people who have technical expertise and a commitment to strong relationships, accountability, and care, to reduce harm and influence system change.
In this role, you'll work closely with these teams and the DCE Operations to help keep their strategic programme activity running smoothly. It's a dynamic environment where connection, coordination, and clear communication are essential.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
This six‑month fixed term role supports the smooth delivery of our Operations programme of work. You'll coordinate activity across multiple initiatives, maintain structured reporting, ensure risks and issues are managed, and help keep everyone aligned and moving together.

What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi
- Maintain a central reporting framework for programme activity
- Develop and manage programme schedules across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate risks, issues, governance activity and decision forums
- Support facilitation of workshops, stakeholder engagement and team activity
- Prepare materials including agendas, presentations and programme collateral
- Build strong working relationships across WorkSafe to enable delivery
What You'll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Experience coordinating complex programmes or multi‑stream initiatives
- Strong planning, reporting and tracking skills
- Confidence facilitating, bringing people together and solving problems
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Knowledge of delivery, risk and issue management tools

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $72,624 to $94,941, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $72,624 to $80,062. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
