About your team / Ko te tīma
The High Hazards, Energy & Public Safety (HHE&PS) group works at the sharp end of health and safety, overseeing sectors where risks can have major consequences. The team includes specialist inspectors and investigators working across extractives, energy safety and major hazard facilities and hazardous substances.
As Support Coordinator for the High Hazards team, you'll become a trusted go‑to person for the team and the group, helping ensure our systems, processes and information support safe and consistent regulatory practice nationwide.
About the role / Ō te tūranga
This role provides administrative, systems and coordination support to the High Hazards team and the HHE&PS group so our inspectors and leaders can focus on regulatory mahi. You'll help maintain key systems, contribute to process improvements, manage reporting, and engage with both internal colleagues and external operators and duty holders.

What You'll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi
- Support High Hazards team and the Energy Safety and Extractives teams to work efficiently
- Maintain allocation of incident notifications
- Contribute to consistent and effective administrative processes and systems
- Maintain accurate records, registers and information required under regulations
- Prepare monthly reports and support financial administration
- Manage content, file systems, documents, data entry and distribution lists
- Support notifications, certifications, and other statutory processes
- Coordinate meetings and forums, including liaising with external operators and regulators
- Work with enablement teams to ensure compliance with WorkSafe policies
- Provide guidance to kaimahi on administrative systems and processes

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $66,440 to $85,546, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $66,440 to $73,066. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional too/on top of your base salary.
